The modifications made in the Funct. Groups tab determine the content viewed by registrants during the Groups step.
You must enter information individually for every group created in Step 1. Beginning with Group1, you can complete a specific Group page message, assign functions, and move to another page concerning the next group, until each group has been configured.
■ Group Page Message – Enter a message to inform the user that they are automatically enrolled for a function, if applicable.
■ Select an Auto Enroll option – If the Automatic Option has been checked for a function in iMIS Desktop view Events > Define an event, the registrants are automatically registered for that function and assigned the pricing for that function based on their registrant class.
■ iMIS Auto Enroll Functions – Selecting this option presents a list of functions assigned to the group at the user registration page. The administrator must choose at least one function from the Unassigned Functions box and move it to the Assigned Auto Enroll Functions box. The registrant may choose several functions during online registration, but then cannot continue registration until at least one of the Assigned Auto Enroll Functions is selected.
Note: Functions that have the Guest Function option enabled do not appear in the list of available functions.
■ Assigned Auto Enroll Functions – Many administrators decide to form several groups for registration and assign specific functions to those groups. Assigning functions allows an administrator to build customized tracks for registrants. Assigning functions to groups also allows an administrator to offer pricing for individual days or functions, rather than offering one set price for the entire event.
Note: When you create new Group pages, you are creating sub-tabs on the web-based interface that users cannot use the Previous and Next buttons to click through. This means your users are warned that Previous and Next navigate through the larger steps of the registration process, but not through the Groups tabs. Because of this navigation design, web users need to click and fill out each tab while completing their registration.
